St. Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research was established in 1992 to administer and undertake research activity at St Lukes Radiaiton Oncology Network in the areas of cancer causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
It is constituted as a company limited by guarantee and has charitable status.
Objectives
- To fulfil the research role of St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network – radiation therapy based and allied research;
- To support research in a broad spectrum of clinical practice including therapeutic, diagnostic and laboratory work;
- To foster an environment for the training of young cancer researchers; and
- To develop and encourage relationships through collaborative work with other academic and research institutes.
